WHY A REPUBLIC?

How to Explain Marxist - Socialism to Canadians
Due to Canada’s poor education system, many Canadians today do not know who Karl Marx was and his enormous impact on the history of the world.
In simple terms:
Karl Marx is one of the most remarkable and important people in all of human history. All Communist countries practice Marxist Doctrines. Communism is solely based on Marxism. His manifesto has enslaved half of the people on earth.
Political parties following Karl Marx's manifesto are called Socialist parties. Canada's Socialist parties also follow many Marxist principles.
Karl Marx used the trade unions to destroy the capitalist base of society. Historically, Canada has used the trade unions to destroy Canada’s capital base. The destruction of the capital base is just one reason why Canada is economically devastated.
Communist countries supply all goods and services to the people using bureaucrats. Government totally controls the market place. Canada is guilty of this very principal through the use of the Crown Corporations and Crown lands. In Communist countries, private ownership of land and the development of that land are prohibited. In Canada, ownership and development of private property is strictly controlled and can even be confiscated.
Communist countries have the lowest standard of living, and their currencies are worthless in world markets.
Individual freedoms and rights do not exist in Marxist-Communist countries. In Canada today, the freedoms and rights are diminished and getting fewer every day. There are so many examples. The evidence is all around us; gag laws pertaining to the Elections Act; farmers and everybody being forced into government agencies to sell product spawning monopoly control; choices in health care under strict control; auto insurance totally controlled and sold by
government, as in BC; all language and press in Canada is tightly controlled; music and the arts, radio and TV are tightly controlled. Even the disk jockeys are under tight government control where 60% of music must be Canadian and must be played between certain hours (not during the night when most are not likely to tune in).
In summary:
Countries emulating or practicing Marxist doctrines have a lower standard of living, shortages and fewer choices of consumer goods and services, a lower currency value, and fewer freedoms and rights of the individual.
In western societies, America is the only country not openly practicing Marxist doctrines. It is committed to the rights and freedoms of the individual in their Constitution.
Compare Canada and America. How does Canada measure up to America in any of these areas? Answer the question yourself.
The Republican Party of Canada will follow the American model and advocate for this nation in a sovereign Canadian context.

why we are in this dreadful economic mess resulting in ...

Ludwig Von Mises.
. "Everything brought forward in favor of
socialism during the last hundred years, in thousands of writings and
speeches, all the blood which has been spilt by the supporters of
socialism, cannot make socialism workable. Nothing has shaken the proof
that under socialism economic calculation is impossible."
